Nettles are plants with sharp hairs on their leaves and if touched, these hairs can inject irritants making your skin itchy, red and swollen. Ironically, the skin benefits of nettle are immense and can be consumed in multiple forms.

Nettle Leaf Tea

If you’re the kind to enjoy flavored teas during the colder months of the year, this one’s for you. Nettle Tea helps to curb water retention.

The multiple nutrients in the leaves like vitamins, minerals, fats, amino acids etc act as antioxidants which help prevent free radical damage.

Effects of Nettle Oil on Hair and Skin

Quite ironically, nettle has anti inflammatory properties that can help curb redness and inflammation due to dryness. It’s also known to help with acne and eczema.

If you’re big on your dadi’s 'nuskhe', it might interest you to know that the antioxidant rich Nettle oil acts as a shield and protects hair from damaging free radicals. Hence preventing hair loss and promoting healthy growth.

Nettle is easily available locally or digitally in capsule and powder form as well.
